• What is Tripper Dash ?

  Tripper Dash is a unique circular TFT 4-inch screen that can display a full-map view sourced by Google Maps. It connects to your smartphone seamlessly and guides you through your journey. It will provide you with all the necessary motorcycle information, including the gear indication, fuel meter, and speedometer. In addition, it offers call functions, music playback while on the road, and contextual alerts for things like vehicle health and servicing reminders.

• Do I need to install any app to use the Tripper dash?

  Yes, you have to install the Royal Enfield app from the Play Store or Apple Store in order to use every feature of the tripper dash.

• How do I connect my phone with the Royal Enfield Tripper Dash?

  1. Login to RE App & Click on Navigation tab
  2. Click on Connect
  3. In the Manage devices screen, Click on “ADD A NEW DEVICE”
  4. Select Tripper Dash
  5. Generate the SSID in the cluster by holding the joystick on the right side for 3 seconds and scan the code. Click on “CONNECT TO DEVICE”
  6. Once connected, the “Authentication Completed” Screen is displayed.
  7. The cluster is connected to the App.
  

• Is an internet connection required for using the Tripper Dash?

  Yes, an internet connection is needed on your smartphone in order to use all functionalities of the tripper dash.

• What should I do if the Tripper Dash freezes or stops working?

  Try resetting the system by turning off your motorcycle and restarting it. If the issue persists , unpair and re-pair the devices.

• How often should I update the RE app?

  It’s recommended to keep the app updated regularly to ensure you have the latest features and bug fixes

• Is the Tripper Dash weatherproof?

  Yes, the tripper dash is designed to be weatherproof, making it suitable for use in various riding conditions.

• Why won't Tripper Dash's messaging and calling features function on my iPhone?

  1. If the user is using an android phone, the alert along with caller ID is visible on the screen.
  2. If it is an IOS phone, the alert is visible but the caller ID is not projected due to security issues.

• How many modes are there in tripper dash?

  There are 2 modes in the tripper dash:
  1. Analog Mode (Default): Focuses on the rider experience
  2. Digital Mode: Shows full map when you want to focus on the road or the navigation experience
  

• How to change from one mode to another?

  Just hold the mode button for a few seconds, then it switch to a different mode

• Does the Tripper Dash have a night/day mode?

  Yes, there is a light sensor which automatically controls the shift between day/night modes accordingly. In addition, the rider can also control it manually through display settings.

• What features does the Tripper Dash offer?

  1. Full-map navigation

• Why does the cluster screen go blank and the navigation stops working when I turn off my phone's screen?

  If you turn off your phone's screen, it stops mirroring your phone screen and loses connectivity, but the turn-by-turn feature will continue to function. It only affects the full map projection feature.

• With the Tripper Dash, how many devices can we pair it with?

  Once a tripper dash cluster is disconnected from your phone, it can be connected to any number of phones. But in one phone you can connect only up to 5 cluster devices

• What is FOTA ?

  FOTA is Firmware Over the Air Update. It allows internet connected devices to update wirelessly. The FOTA update comprised five software patches and will take about 10 minutes to install.

• Which FOTA upgrade is the most recent, and what improvements does it bring?

  11.59 is the latest firmware and stability has been improved with bug fixes and compatibility of google and samsung phones are fixed.

• How to update the cluster?

  1. Open RE App.
  2. Click on navigate page.
  3. Click on connected.
  4. Click on the three dots.
  5. Select infotainment settings.
  6. Select software update.
  7. Download and install file.
  

• Will the tripper dash still function if I'm taking a long trip to a hilly area with poor network connectivity?

  Yes. While the system can continue to display the last downloaded route, it won't be able to update or recalculate new routes without a mobile signal.

• How many waypoints or pit stops can I include in my itinerary?

  Around 25 waypoints can be included in your itinerary.

• Is there any mode called sleep mode?

  No, sleep mode is not available in the Tripper Dash.

• What should be done if the RPM levels in the TFT digital view are not displayed on the screen?

  In Digital mode using full map navigation RPM levels will not be displayed , come out of the full map screen layer or change the mode to analog to see the rpm meter.

• If the toggle button turns on and off by itself, what should you do?

  Contact the nearest showroom to fix it.

• Will my phone still record my time and display it in the trip summary if I simply turn on the engine and remain idle after connecting it to the tripper dash?

  The trip summary will get recorded only when the navigation is active on the mobile phone.

• If I have to always have my phone's screen on when using Tripper Dash, what if it does unintended actions on my phone?

  No, there is a low chance of it occurring. Because the tripper dash has a feature called soft touch, which sort of acts as an extra layer of security, so that no unintended actions happen when riding or when the phone is in your pocket. The user will have to swipe right to get past this static safety screen.

• Does the tripper dash have all of its functions accessible through the joystick, or do we need to pull out our phone to use them?

  No, all of the tripper dash functions are accessible with the joystick. You don't need to take out your phone.

• How can I prevent my phone's battery from draining while I'm using the navigation feature of tripper dash?

  To save phone battery, you can use the turn-by-turn navigation feature only rather than the full map projection feature.

• Will the Royal Enfield Tripper Dash navigation continue to function if my phone is switched off?

  No. Only when the phone is switched on, the navigation feature will work.

• Can I use two separate mobile devices to use Royal Enfield Tripper Dash?

  Yes, you can use two separate mobile devices to use Tripper Dash at separate times.

• Is it possible to download my trip report in various file formats on my device?

  No, Trip summary cannot be downloaded. It can only be viewed on the REApp.

• How accurate is the navigation feature of tripper dash?

  Tripper dash’s accuracy will be as same as google maps.

• Can I share my live trip with my friends/family?

  No, you will not be able to share the live trip with friends/family through REApp.

• Why is it that I can't link my Tripper Dash to my Spotify music app?

  For iPhone: The tripper dash can only be connected to Apple Music, which is the only app that is supported.
  For Android: The tripper dash may be readily connected to Spotify and all other music applications.
  

• Can I use the joystick to pause, play, go to the previous or next track, and control the volume, or do I need to pull out my phone to do these?

  You can use the joystick to do all these actions. phone is not needed.

• Are all the music controls operable while navigating?

  Yes, music controls are operable while navigating using the Tripper Dash.

• Why does my iPhone only display incoming calls without displaying the caller name?

  The alert and caller ID are displayed on the screen if the user is using an Android phone.
  When using an iOS phone, security issues prevent the caller ID from being projected, but the alert will still be visible.
  

• Will the tripper dash notify me when there are new messages?

  Yes, Tripper dash will notify when there are any new sms notifications. In android, you can read the messages as well but not in IoS as it is a security limitation from Apple.

• How many messages can I view on the cluster screen at once?

  The user can view the last 5 messages on the cluster screen at once.

• Can messages be read without interrupting navigation or music playback?

  Yes, messages can be read without interrupting navigation or music playback.

• How can we use the navigation feature?

  Navigation can be done using 2 ways:
  1. Turn By Turn Navigation: Includes information regarding upcoming turns and the distance to each turn.
  2. Full Map Projection: Users can navigate their routes by utilizing the entire map projected on the screen.
  In Analog Mode, the Tripper Dash exclusively supports Turn By Turn navigation.
  Digital mode is supported by Full Map projection functionality and it is disabled during Analog Mode. Instead, users are provided with turn-by-turn directions displayed in the left side corner of the screen.

• Is it possible for me to add or remove waypoints while driving?

  Through the use of joystick, users can seamlessly add or remove waypoints along their route without the need to retrieve their phone.

• How to disable the turn by turn direction in digital mode?

  Disabling the turn by turn navigation in the digital mode is not possible.

• Can I use the Tripper Navigation system without a mobile signal?

  Yes. While the system can continue to display the last downloaded route, it won't be able to update or recalculate new routes without a mobile signal.

• Does the Tripper Navigation provide traffic updates?

  Yes, whatever traffic update is available in google maps will be displayed in the tripper dash.

• Can I customize the Tripper Navigation System settings?

  You can adjust certain settings such as the units of distance (miles or kms), through the RE app.

• Where can I find additional support regarding the Tripper Dash?
