Royal Enfield Wingman creates a close bond between the rider and the motorcycle by having a constant and seamless communication through the Royal Enfield App. The Royal Enfield Wingman takes care of both the rider and the motorcycle at all times.
Which motorcycles are equipped with the Royal Enfield Wingman?
The Royal Enfield Wingman is included as a standard accessory with the Super Meteor 650, Shotgun 650, and Bear 650. For the Himalayan and Guerrilla 450, it is available as an add-on accessory that can be purchased through the configurator at the time of booking on the website or at the dealership.
I don't have the RE app; can I still access Royal Enfield Wingman?
No. If the customer doesn’t have the Royal Enfield (RE) App and is not logged in with an authorised profile, Wingman will not be enabled. Since Wingman is an in-app connected riding companion, it requires the RE App to function. Without the app, features such as live ride tracking, trip insights, and proactive service alerts cannot be accessed. Additionally, GRID support (which provides enhanced assistance and connected services) is also dependent on Wingman and will not work if the app is not installed or the customer has not authorised Wingman on the app.
Do I have to feed more details in the RE app to access the Wingman module?
No, you don’t need to feed in additional details repeatedly. The only requirement is the initial pairing of your Royal Enfield App with your motorcycle. Once the pairing is completed, Wingman will be activated, and you can start using its features. After this one-time setup, there is no further input required from your end — the app and motorcycle will stay connected automatically.
Will it work on both Android and iOS?
Yes, it will work on both Android and iOS.
Can I access the Wingman module on my ipad, tablet or desktop?
No, currently Wingman can be accessed only through the mobile phone because Royal Enfield App is available only as a mobile version.
What are the features of Royal Enfield Wingman?
The features are as follows:
1. Trip Report – Get detailed insights after every ride, including distance covered, duration, average speed, and riding patterns to help you track and relive your journeys.
2. Trip Reports Merge – Combine multiple ride reports into one seamless summary. Perfect for longer journeys with multiple stops or day-by-day tracking of your adventures.
3. Proactive Support by the GRID Team – Wingman is backed by Royal Enfield’s GRID team, which monitors key vehicle parameters and proactively reaches out in case of any critical alerts, ensuring peace of mind on every ride.
4. Vehicle Alerts – Receive real-time notifications about your motorcycle’s health, including issues like low battery, engine errors, or critical faults that need immediate attention.
5. Remote Live Location – Track your motorcycle’s live location anytime through the RE App. This is especially helpful for monitoring long rides or if your bike is being used by someone else.
6. Last Parked Location – Never lose track of where you parked. The app automatically records the last parked location of your motorcycle, making it easy to find in busy areas.
What is Proactive Support by the GRID team?
In the event of a potential motorcycle failure resulting in an immovable situation, the GRID team will arrange Roadside Assistance to address the issue.
In "D1", MIL will glow (medium severity), it won't affect the performance of the motorcycle, and it will indicate to go to nearby dealer
In "D2" MIL will glow (low severity), and it will indicate to get the issue fixed in next service
What are the operating hours of the GRID team?
GRID proactive support is available from 9 AM to 6 PM, while Roadside Assistance (RSA) is available 24/7 throughout the year.
Can I opt not to have a Royal Enfield wingman unit fitted onto my Motorcycle?
Wingman is a standard fitment that comes with Super Meteor 650, Shotgun 650, Bear 650, Classic 650.However, it comes as a MiY fitment for New Himalayan 450 and Guerrilla 450 Models.
Can I use Royal Enfield Wingman for other models of RE?
The current version of Royal Enfield Wingman is developed for Super Meteor 650, Shotgun 650, Bear 650, Classic 650, New Himalayan 450 (MiY) and Guerrilla 450 (MiY) only. It will not work in any other model of Royal Enfield.
If my mobile device gets switched off, will Royal Enfield Wingman still keep track of my Motorcycle?
Yes, the Royal Enfield Wingman works independently. It does not depend on the mobile phone. So, even if the mobile phone is switched off, the Royal Enfield Wingman can still keep a track of the motorcycle.
Can I use Royal Enfield Wingman on two different mobile devices?
Yes, in order to do so the Royal Enfield App must be downloaded on the other mobile phones as well and the customer needs to login using the same mobile number.
Can I delete my rider history?
Yes, the trips can be deleted from the Royal Enfield App.
Can I download my trip report to my device in different file formats?
Currently all trip reports are viewable from the Royal Enfield app only. However, screenshots can be taken and used.
Can I view a 1-year-old trip record on a Royal Enfield Wingman?
Currently trip reports, as old as 3 months can be saved and viewed. These reports can be accessed through the Royal Enfield App.
Can I track more than one Motorcycle via Royal Enfield Wingman if it is added to the RE app?
Yes, all vehicles with Royal Enfield Wingman that are paired to your phone number can be tracked from the Royal Enfield App.
If I sell my Motorcycle, can I transfer Royal Enfield Wingman access to the new owner?
Yes, it is possible. Once the registration is done to the new customer’s name, the new customer can contact the nearby service centres or dealer to change the access.
If my Motorcycle is moved in ignition-off mode from its last parked location, can I still locate its new parked location?
Yes, it is possible. Even in the ignition off condition, the motorcycle will send the updated location, once every hour
How accurately does the Royal Enfield Wingman locate the parked Motorcycle?
It depends on the GPS strength. At any time, there could be accuracy tolerance of 20m to 200m.
Can I share my live trip with anyone?
Currently the share option is not available for the trip.
If I struggle connecting with Wingman, how do I get it resolved?
Please reach out to the Royal Enfield customer support and they shall take it up with the relevant team within Royal Enfield to look into the issue and get back to you.
Do you provide any roadside assistance in case of any challenge with Royal Enfield Wingman vehicles?
As Roadside Assistance subscription is inbuilt for 5 years, RSA support will be ensured while customer reaches out to either GRID or our support toll free number for RSA during immovable conditions
Will this device fitment have any impact on my Battery life?
No, the impact will be minimal and can be neglected as in storage it works only on lesser frequency compared to Ignition ON.
Why is it showing mismatched Ignition status in the Application?
Ideally, there should not be any mismatch in the ignition status shown in the app. However, you might experience it occasionally if your motorcycle is in a weak network zone, such as basements, hilly terrains, dense forests, or areas with poor cellular connectivity. In such cases, the app may take some time to update the correct status once the network is restored.
Why is the Fuel level reading different in the App compared to my vehicle?
Due to the dynamics of the vehicle, when on the side stand, the Cluster might show different fuel levels but the Royal Enfield wingman provides an accurate value as per the logic implemented. Also since the App reads the fuel level just before Ignition off, the accuracy of the logic is verified.
Why is my vehicle location shown incorrectly in the Application?
It depends on the GPS strength. The customer can see the GPS icon on the dashboard. If it is ""Red"", it means that the motorcycle is not receiving the GPS signal and the location will not be updated. If it is ""Green"", the location is updated and live However, at any time there could be an accuracy tolerance of 20m to 200m.
What is the reason behind the difference of signal strength shown in App and my mobile phone?
Signal strength shown in the App refers to the signal strength received by the motorcycle, whereas the mobile phone signal strength is received by the phone.
My vehicle had a breakdown, but no Alert was received in the Application and I was not contacted by the Support Team, why?
If the vehicle breakdown is not because of any of the DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code), which is the configuration set in the device, you will not receive any alert on the App and hence will not be contacted by the support team, as they wont see the alert as well.However, the customer can still call the GRID support through the App by opening the MyRE page in the app and scrolling down to find the GRID support number.
Will I be tracked by anyone once the onboarding is enabled?
No, you will not be tracked. We follow the GDPR regulations. However, only during a D0 alert the Royal Enfield GRID team will get the access of your location in order to provide you the required support in case of emergency
What is the Aftermarket fitment cost/package cost of the device and its validity?
The device and the App access is valid for lifetime. The device comes along with 5 years of data plan, after which there will be a nominal charge to top up the data plan.
Whom can I contact if the device is not functioning / missing from the vehicle?
If you notice that the Wingman device is not working properly or is missing from your motorcycle, you can reach out for assistance in the following ways:
1. Royal Enfield GRID Support Team – The GRID team can help you with troubleshooting, device status checks, and guidance on next steps.
2. Your Nearest Royal Enfield Dealership – The dealership team can physically inspect the motorcycle, verify the device status, and arrange repairs or replacements if required. You can easily find the nearest dealership using our Dealer Locator.
Is the device covered within actual Vehicle warranty?
The Wingman device is covered under the standard Royal Enfield vehicle warranty. This means that if the device develops a fault or stops functioning during the warranty period (and it is not due to misuse, tampering, or external damage), it will be inspected and repaired or replaced as per Royal Enfield’s warranty policy. For any concerns regarding the device, you can reach out to the Royal Enfield GRID Support Team or visit your nearest Royal Enfield dealership. The team will check the issue and process it under the applicable warranty terms.
How can I unlink the Device from my name if I am reselling the Vehicle?
You will need to contact the Royal Enfield Customer Support with details of the vehicle he/she sold and the support team will delink that vehicle. Once delinked, you will be notified through email.
How do I install the RE App?
Please go to Playstore / Appstore and search "Royal Enfield App" and click on install.
Can I search for missing or stolen vehicles in the RE App?
You can click on "Locate" and can see the last known location of the vehicle, and accordingly, you could decide to file an FIR.
How many devices can I use to check RE App simultaneously for a vehicle?
There is no limit. But, you will have to login using the same mobile number on all the devices.
On which all models the aftermarket fitment of this device is feasible?
This device is only compatible with Super Meteor 650, Guerilla 450 and Himalayan 450.
What is the Warranty Terms & Condition of Wingman Devices ?
The warranty for Wingman devices follows the same terms as the motorcycle’s warranty and is applicable from the date of invoicing of the motorcycle. This means:
· The Wingman device is covered under the standard Royal Enfield vehicle warranty period from the time your motorcycle is invoiced.
· If the device experiences a fault, malfunction, or stops working during the warranty period (not caused by misuse, tampering, or accidental/external damage), it will be inspected and repaired or replaced as per the warranty policy.
· Warranty support for the device can be availed through Royal Enfield GRID Support or at any authorised Royal Enfield dealership.
Will I be supported by RE in finding the location of my vehicle if I couldn't access the App or in case of vehicle theft?
Location can only be accessed if the device is properly enabled via the app the first time by the owner by agreeing to the terms and conditions.We follow the GDPR regulations, and hence you will not be tracked. However, only during a D0 alert the Royal Enfield GRID team will get the access of your location, so that they are enabled with required information to be able to provide you a quick assistance in case of emergency
What are the Languages supported by the GRID team?
English, Tamil & Hindi Languages will be supported by GRID Team
Will the Odometer reading in the cluster and the RE Wingman App be the same?
Yes, the Odometer reading shown in the Royal Enfield App is the last known value from the motorcycle.
I am an existing customer of Super Meteor 650. How do I get the device fitted in my Motorcycle?
We are offering the device as a retrofit to all our existing customers of Super Meteor 650 at an additional cost. The order for the same could be placed with the dealer, and the service center will be able to fit the device to your motorcycle
I am an existing customer of Super Meteor 650. How much do I need to pay to get the device fitted in my vehicle?
The cost for the connected device is Rs 6500 plus fitment charges. This will include Dongle, plus data plan and RSA. This plan will be valid for 5 years, from the day of device fitment in motorcycle, after which a new plan could be bought at a nominal price.
I have already purchased RSA along with the motorcycle, why am I being charged again for it?
Royal Enfield Wingman is a feature, being offered as a package. It's a new feature for the motorcycles which will be delivered, from 2023 November onwards, however we also wanted to extend this option to our existing Super Meteor customers as a retrofit in your motorcycle. The most lucrative feature of the Royal Enfield Wingman, is the proactive support in case of alerts and the data plan.
Our existing customers have a choice to purchase this exceptional feature and leverage its benefits to the fullest.
I have booked my Super Meteor 650 and delivery is still due. Will I get my Motorcycle with the Wingman feature enabled?
Yes, all the motorcycles of Super Meteor 650, manufactured from 15th Nov onwards will come with the added feature of Royal Enfield Wingman

You could contact your service center to place the order and get the same fitted to your motorcycle.
How much time should I wait for fuel level to be updated after filling the fuel tank ?
For fuel level update to wait for 180 seconds after removing the vehicle from the side stand provided network strength is good also vehicle speed to be more than 10 kmph.
