Pokhara is a city on Phewa Lake, in central Nepal. It’s known as a gateway to the Annapurna Circuit, a popular trail in the Himalayas.
Tatopani is a village in Sindhupalchok District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal and is famous for its hot water springs
Kalopani literally means 'black water' in Nepali. It is from here that the relatively calm Kali Gandaki river narrows down, changes colour and roars down south with its much-revered rapids. Kalopani also offers great views of the Annapurna mountain range
Marpha is a pretty stone lined village which lies in the Trans - Himalayan rain shadow zone and therefore stays more or less untouched by the raging monsoon of lower belts. Its economy is strongly dependent upon agriculture, livestock, tourism and labor in foreign countries.
The hanging bridge near Kagbeni is built on the Kali Gandaki river, for easy transit of vehicles to and from the Mustang valley.
Lo Manthang (3,800m) is an isolated Tibetan settlement that was founded in 1380 and Capital ancient city of Upper Mustang. Upper Mustang is considered to be one of the best-preserved examples of Tibetan culture in the world.
Chhoser Caves near Lo Manthang are a geographical and architectural mystery till date. Believed to be man made, these caves have been investigated since the mid-1990s, however no-one has discovered who built the caves.

Home to eight of the highest peaks in the world, Nepal is a land of mystic and intrigue. The ancient kingdom of Lo Manthang, in the heart of Mustang valley, embodies this spirit unlike any other. With directions that exist only in the minds of locals, and not on Google, Upper Mustang is the ultimate frontier for adventure travel. With views of the Annapurna range for the company and traversing the deepest gorge in the world, there are several layers of exploration to peel through. A trip to this windswept valley that culminates in the walled city of Lo is the stuff that bucket lists are made of.
In October 2019, a group of 11 motorcyclists ventured out on a once in a lifetime experience to ride through the forbidden kingdom of Tibet Autonomous Region and reach the world’s highest monastery Rongbuk at the fabled North Face Base Camp of Mount Everest – a route George Mallory made famous with his attempt to scale the mountain back in 1924. Starting from Kathmandu, they crossed the Nepalese border to ride through the high desolate highlands of Tibet Autonomous Region on their way to Rongbuk. Together they battled the biting chill, the dropping oxygen and their own personal limits, forming friendships for life on the way to the top of the world.
